Mention of Tom reminds me - I wrote to him a couple of weeks ago, and 
have not had a reply.  Before I bug him with a follow-up, does anyone 
know whether he's out traveling or otherwise unable to respond?  It's 
been years since I saw anything about him or by him on any reflector, 
and I figure people who hang around here are among the most likely to know.
