[Amps] Question: Ship Vacuum Variables at minimum or maximum?

That sound's like a good idea with one added proviso - the cap inside has to be kept isolated (as much as possible) from shocks and vibration. But I do like the idea of the rigid (yet fairly inexpensive) idea of the PVC tubing.  Vac Cap set a minimum, a layer of bubble wrap (with big'ish bubbles) around the vac cap, the whole thing stuff in a large hunk of 4" PVC piping and the whole thing in a good box with peanuts or more bubble wrap and one should be good to go.

The sure way to beat the united gorillas is to pack it like a fishing pole. 
A short length of pvc tubing of the right diameter with a couple of end cap 
caps fastened on with sheet metal screws. pad it well, and they can't crush 
it by running over it with a truck.
