[Amps] smps HV transformer

Hi amp builders.

If all goes well, I should have a pile of parts on my door today to wind my switch mode ps transformer.

I'm differing from the original article in that instead of using solid copper pipes, I'm going to use an insulated braided copper sleeve.  I've drawn two simplified diagrams on the windings and am looking for opinions.

The red represents a cross sectional view of the primary, the braided copper tube, while the blue represents the secondary high voltage insulated wire.

Figure 1 is wound like a traditional rf transformer would be, but it would also require the primary to be woven through the transformer toroid's first, and the secondary would need to be snaked through the bends.

Figure 2 would allow the primary and secondary to be constructed as a unit, in a strait line, then the whole assembly to be snaked through the toroid's.

Comments?   Other suggestions?
