Remember, the tolerance for most motor starting capacitors is at least +/- 50%.  Therefore, using a 4.7 mfd capacitor is well within those tolerances.

Thanks to everyone for the replies, I'll just not be cheap about it and pick up the cap tomorrow.  Although I do have a sprague 4.7uF 450V non polarized cap in my junk box (K2XT did you send me those?), not quite the 4uF the data sheet is asking for.
