[Amps] monitoring output - rf

I have a LM3915 based led bar graph I built, input of 2v full scale. I can
adjust this to full scale 3v or so.
What I want to do is monitor the output of the amp with it. I am looking at
the same setup as an SWR
meter, toroid and diodes perhaps? What have others done to look at POWER
out. Of course I can just use
the external swr meter to look but I want to make this in integral part of
my amp.
