Thanks for the many replies and in particular those several that jogged my 
memory with Synthetic Textiles Inc.

That was the one I bought about 15 years ago and all those installs are 
still in fine shape including boom supports.

The ones that are either breaking or severely weakened are some military 
surplus black and olive drab. Nothing is forever in the sun, ocean driven 
salt air and acid rain around here.
