They should be matched to within 1 volt of bias to obtain 100 ma each of 
idle current.
With a few extra parts you can have individual controls which will allow 
deltas to 5-6V to be used but at some loss in IMD at the extremes.
I have both my 6M version and a 160-10M HF version setup that way. Both 
started off as engineering prototypes which Ive had since 1964-65. Another 
near mint serialized one is mostly stock and used on the nintage SSB 
station.
