Oh, yes , I used a pair in my first amplifier I built in the 60's I was a teenager then.

I'm not sure what your talking about/going off about....?

Lots of discussion here about using 813s for amplifiers. You are correct.
They are a economical way to go.  I'm not sure credit cards have anything to
do with it though.

Please keep it in prospective...
