Yea, I guess that could happen.  I've never had a problem, but it certainly
doesn't mean it couldn't happen; I never gave it thought.  Blowing out from
the center, with a bit of an angle gets it out best anyway, and that same
flow keeps it from getting pressed in.  I wouldn't claim to be an expert on
thermodynamics, but I couldn't imagine the bit that could get stuck would
have any real impact, just not enough dust to cover enough surface area, not
to mention you'd still be better off than you were with what did come out.
It's a valid statement, but if it were the kind of crud prone to get stuck
that would be where it would go in the dishwasher.
