Sure you can Alex....
Disqualify them. That will send a message. Simple, easy and effective.

## The 'rules' do NOT stipulate WHERE the power is being measured.
Now in the real world, it's ALWAY'S measured across an... 'impedance matched load'
Where is the load ? It's at the feedpoint of course. Now, if a fellow had say..2.2 db of
feedline and connector loss's... he would require aprx 2.5 kw from the back of the amp to
get just 1.5 kw at the feedpoint.
## I fear the chinese station will end up getting disqualified in the end. After all, they were silly
enough to put out a few video's of themselves running 2.5 kw... and at one point, 2.7 kw. Now if
CQ magazine doesn't disqualify em, that will send a clear message that the power rules can be safely ignored,
and CQ mag will look like a bunch of hypocrites. About the only defense the chinese will have is to say they
had 2.2 db of feedline loss, and rightfully assumed that the 1.5 kw was measured [or estimated] at the feedpoint.
CQ mag will have to then get it's act together and revise it's rules..again. I remember years ago, when yuri, k3bu
informed CQ mag that canada had a 2250 pep out limit on ssb... measured at the feedpoint..and cq mag agreed with him.
Some where along the line somebody complained, and the rules were changed. Meanwhile, we are only allowed 750w on cw
so we are at a 3db disadvantage. What abt the folks with the '400w' limit....or the Italians with their '300w' limit. Man, they are
at a huge disadvantage. You won't make that up with any ant array. Clearly the rules are slanted towards US hams.
