REPLY:

A "normal" light tells you the "warning" light has not failed. 

It's like an oil pressure gauge vs an oil pressure warning light.
Without the gauge, how do you know the warning light isn't burned out?
The best situation, IMO, is to have both gauge and light (or buzzer).
