Watch out for that cat-in-the-lap. It can be painful.  My old "used to 
be" tomcat (aptly named Streak) jumped up in my lap the other day, 
misjudged the distance and skidded off. Unfortunately he extended his 
claws (which found purchase in the side of my quads) to keep from 
falling. He apparently has learned magic as he now responds quickly and 
vanishes any time I holler ...OUCH!

BTW, said cat weighs about 17-18# and is all muscle.

photo was shot of him guarding the Alpha. When he wants out he stand on 
his hind feet and grabs the doorknob, but can't turn it.  My wife put 
her foot down when she caught me showing him how to open the screen doors.
