Hi Wayne,

I always go to the local Dollar Store & stock-up on the biggest, cheapest bottle of CLEAR NAIL POLISH that I can find...

The stuff even smells like the old coil dope that I remember from my early days!

I apply two thick coats, letting the first one dry, of course. I've used it successfully on everything from receiver pre-selector coils, to affixing the turns of a filament choke to ferrite rods on grounded-grid linear amplifiers...
