Hi all

Possibly high RF current on the plate RFC
- meaning it has a hole on 50 MHz.

I have burnt a plate RFC in my 6m RF deck
because of parasitic oscillation around 60 MHz.

But 8877 must be quite stable without neutralization.

I recommend the plate RFC described on 1996 ARRL
handbook's 2kW PEP amp for 50 MHz:

36 turns #24 enam. wire on a 1-inch dia Teflon rod.

Also, A 6-meter kilowatt amp using the Svetlana
4CX1600B on 2007 ARRL handbook:

40 turns #20, 1/2 dia, close-wound

I am using 40 turns 1.5 mm enam. on 20 mm dia
Teflon rod, close-wound.
