[Amps] Dummy load. Can distilled water be used instead of oil ?

## Good point Carl. These are new globar type SP.....and they are glass
bodied,
designed for oil or water immersion. Mine are 1 inch od x 12 inch long...
and have a .25 inch thick wall. Beware, the old type CX globars, made in
the
60s are NOT glass bodied, and are designed for air cooling only. They use
a
.25 inch thicker wall on them. IF you try and immerse them in oil, they
will
absorb the oil, and resistance will increase. this info came from globar
engineer a while back.

Some resistors are not made to be immersed, check specs first.
