##  oh gimme a GG triode any day.   You only need one to... do the job. 
No regulated screen supply to mess with, no neutralization, and no cancelling
out the tube  C that sits in parallel with the grid termination resistor, heck in some cases
you don’t need a socket either.   Flip side is you need more drive... but that’s a moot point.
