[Amps] FCC amplifier gain limitations

Seven months ago, we've heard about the Expert Linears America LLC of
Magnolia, Texas (on behalf  SPE Italy) petition to FCC about cancelling the
external power amplifier's 15dB gain limitation from rule  §97.317(a)(2) . 

As far I know, ARRL and other organizations supported this petition. 

Any answers from FCC ?
