[Amps] Pole pigs removed from oil ??

I did in the 90's, for making the PS for a 
3CX3000A7 amp. I bought it from a guy who 
"salvaged" it at work. I believe it was a 
10KVA, very heavy. 

I had to "Unwind" the input wires in 
reverse direction with individual 12 Gauge 
house wire, wrapping a fair amount of 
counter-turns. Doing so dropped the output 
from around 7KV something, down to 6KV.

There was no breakdown, it ran cool and 
was for this purpose, perfect.
