   It is remarkably like a class "A" amplifier.  If there were two
devices connected in class "B" and properly biased (like 99% of the 100 
Watt transceivers out here) it would be an entirely different story.

   I have been preaching (for years) the virtues of proper Class "B"
amplifier designs.
