[CCF] [TOEC] Sponsered extra SAC trophies

Hello all,

I also think that the sponsored plaques/trophies are 
a great idea, but hadn't commented anything publicly
yet because negotiations about this year's standard
plaques and their prices are still going on. 

This year's sponsored-plaque trial is being managed by 
our dear "PileUP!" because of the short timing, as 
agreed with Ilkka OH1WZ. I've promised Ilkka to take 
the matter up with the SAC CC so that perhaps it could 
become a standard thing starting from the 2012 contest. 

With regards to the SAC CC: A committee was formed 
after the NRAU meeting this spring, and I've been asked 
to be Finland's representative. Ingo SM5AJV heads
the group, with LB9RE and OZ5WQ as the other delegates. 
As far as I've understood, the CC will commence its 
operation in earnest after this year's contest, 
since this year the organizing is in the hands of 
OH land. Ingo will say more about the CC and
its function when the time comes and NRAU has defined
all parameters. 

Promotion of this year's SAC is proceeding full throttle
internally in OH land. As far as non-Scandinavia goes,
the SSA stand at Friedrichshafen kindly promoted the 
contest, DXers have sent out invitations with their 
direct QSL cards, and those who enlisted as specialists
of certain world areas will soon sound their message.
The mass invitations by e-mails initiated in SM some
years ago will soon be sent. A special issue of PileUP!
will appear before SAC, and I am promised that work
on sactest.net will be ready in the next week or so.

with marketing and organizing this year's event. I've
made the call in OH twice earlier this year, and am 
grateful for those few who have enlisted. Please, 
if you have ideas and/or want to help in some way, 
let me know.

I do agree that we have to start promoting SAC. Peter, SM2CEW mailed me
information about a company in Sweden with very goog trophies with modest
price. I asked Peter to get more detailed information. I think the new SAC
CC has had a very low profile so far.
I will publish the Trophy information as soon as I get it.
I allready have 4 trophies sponsored.
I know that a new SAC CC was accepted in NRAU meeting but I have not
received any information who are involved.
