EU Customs check on radio gear?

Just got wind of an unexpected business trip next week to Paris, and I'd like 
to take a radio just to listen.  However, I don't have a French license.  Does 
anyone know if customs will have a problem bringing HF transcievers in/out 
without a current foreign license?
