SS results from K6KM

SS results from K6KM (WM2C op)  1199/77  High Power  24 hours

First time entering SS (except for handing out a few QSO's occasionally).  
Contested the "old fashioned" way.  One radio.  One VFO.  Lots of CQing, almost 
no search and pounce.  

Heard VY1JA on 40m near the end of the contest calling CQ with no takers, and 
within 5 kc +/- of him were 2 stations calling "CQ VY1" !!   I decided to play 
matchmaker and told one of the guys to listen down, there was about 10 minutes 
left in the contest.  I wonder if he ever made it?
