SCREW-IN GUY ANCHORS

I understand that utility companies use screw-in guy anchors that consist of
a rod about 6 feet long with a plate at the bottom that's 8 or 10 inches in
diameter. A couple of questions about these devices:

  1. Could you share any experiences about installing them?

  2. Do you have any war stories, pro or con, about using them?

  3. Do you have any written specifications as to their holding capability
in "average" soils, such that might be submitted to a relatively
unsophisticated city building permit Department?

Inquiring minds want to know. Please reply directly to N6ZZ at AOL.COM. If the
responses look interesting, I'll summarize here. Thanks & 73 - Phil, N6ZZ

Does anyone have suggestions on what kind of knot(s) to tie to a bundle
of cables being pulled through conduit?

      Hola from Puerto Rico:

I just bought a tubular tower (wilsons 61 ft) with
the rotating and electrical tilt options. All the hardware
was replaced with stainless steel parts (wires, nuts, bolts.)
I was thinking of installing two antennas in it , and I
wonder if theres any of you using more than one antenna in
     a similar mast..

       Currently I have a ROHN 25 70 ft hight with a Cushcraft
40-2cd and a tribander. The antennas I have for installation
    on these towers are the 40-2cd , 204ba , 15M4 , 10M4. For
turning the mast I have the wilson W-1000 (i think thats eno-
ugh for the mast) and a T2X and TIC RING for the Rohn.

I will appreciate any help and suggestions on how to setup
    this antennas; combinations,spacing etc...

                           many thanks
