Mast question

I need 2 15' masts. I have seen the ads in the NCJ for masts out of Texas.
This is great if you live in Texas, but shipping on these things must be
alot.

There must be local sources for a suitable mast. Anyone have any leads for
me?

K6XO/7 Single Operator All Bands

147 QSOs, 88 Multipliers 13,024 Total

Activity seemed to be down again this year - not too surprising.
JA1YFG deserves to win this - he seemed to be there all the time
on one band or another. Several west coast stations were also
trying hard, but the Asians were just not there to be worked.
A casual effort on my part, catching QSOs when I got a chance.
We had an opening on 15 on all three days around 00Z, but the
propagation was marginal, and there were just a few signals to
be heard. No signals heard on 10 meters (no surprise).

I second Kevin WA8ZDT's suggestion of the Riva Sport water balloon
launcher.

I watched a bunch of fraternity guys here launching beer cans
(full--cheap beer) well over 16 story dorm buildings.

These slingshots also work well for demolishing buildings if one
lowers the shot trajectory.

Bill, when you get more data on where to get the 15 foot mast you are
looking for, post it to the group. I am also looking for something
like that. I have no idea of what I can get away with in using a mast.
I'd love to have a strong aluminum mast. Is there such a thing? Probably
if I have the money.
