K1EA DVP board delay

I have noticed a delay using the K1EA DVP. It seems to occur immediately after
a non DVP key is hit, but not on consecutive DVP keys. That is, after a DVP CQ
if you enter the call and hit INSERT, the call and exchange is send without a
delay. But if you ESC to stop a CQ, and then hit CQ again, the delay is 
apparent. This ONLY occurs while in REPEAT mode There is no delay when not in
repeat mode
