Subject: KT-34XA 15m Performance
Message-ID: <9409271532.AA06324 at igate1>

The signals have been so sparse on 15m lately that I can't quite tell how
well my recently installed KT-34XA performs. However, I got waxed in a
single head-to-head comparison with a local 5-el monobander at similar height
(~55 ft). The antennas works very well on 20m and 10m, although F/B is
average.

What is the concensus on the KT-34XA's 15m performance? Has anyone modeled it
and compared it to a 15m monobander of similar boom length? Would addition
of a single 15m director improve the pattern? Since 10m is down for the
count, I'm thinking a 20m/15m monobander stack would be more effective.
Agree/disagree?

Thanks - Kevin NC6U
