Rig: FT-990

Purpose: output power control

Procedure: Unplug RF Unit board. Find the end of resistor R1166
which is connected to pin 22 of connector J1003.
Ground that end of R1166 through a 10 kohm resistor.

After storing away your Alpha, you now have a legal
           contest station.

Only half jokingly,

After listening to all the screaming and crying over
RF fields and the like, can you take it elsewhere, I'm getting
a little sick of it......... I subcribed to this list in the
hopes of finding contest information, not grown men fighting
each other over sillly things government breaucrats do....

We have not yet, in the United Kingdom, reached the stage with lawyers that has
apparently been reached Stateside but in the September issue of 'Car' magazine which
was published today, there appeared the following:

"AMERICANS HATE LAWYERS. Hence the joke about the American who finds himself in a room
with Adolf Hitler, Charles Manson and a lawyer. He has a gun but only two bullets.
What does he do? Shoot the lawyer twice, just to make sure."

page 29 Car Magazine September 1996. This was part of a piece about Harry J Pearce at
General Motors.

73,

Chris
