WOW! I just finished absorbing last month's issue, and here is the next one.
I am glad I went to the PO box today versus waiting till Monday. Looks like
another good issue!
Front cover shot taken from the antenna (I8UDB's 3 element 75/80 meter yagi
at 170ft.) instead of from the ground. Plus inside there is a half page
writeup. Bravo! CQ Contest staff. Keep up the great cover shots with a
writeup on the station inside the magazine. When you run out of cover shots,
how about going back to some of the shots on your sister mag, CQ, and provide
thorough write-ups.

Other articles include: The First WRTC; Russian Amateur Radio Today;
Operating Technique - Phone Pile-ups, Pt. 2; Contest Breakdown - most active
countries in CQWWDXC; Getting People Involved; VHF Contest Forum; SWL World
News; HF Beacons - listing; S21ZW operation; Conversation with G3SXW; and
more!

Can we expect April's issue by the end of February!?

Henry Pollock - WB4HFL

More on lightning:
Put a lightning suppressor inside the shack, and near your radios, too,
as suggested is dumb (pardon me). Do you want lightning inside your
home? Inside your wire trace very near the rig?
UNPLUG DISCONNECT etc. There is no such thing as a
direct-hit-lightning-"suppresor" (the name tells you something, it does
not say "lightning protector") at ham radio prices. 73, K4VUD Charlie

Right on Tom, Congress will only frown on us all if we bring up subject
of fowel (sic) language on air.
The cure is not available. Assistance can come, however, from mature
responses from everyone who can call these bad guys. Call them nicely,
explain how offensive their behavior is, and leave. Peer pressure in
massive amounts may help? 73, Charlie
