Knwd TS-950SDX - Opinions?

Hi all -

I am about to purchase either a Kenwood TS-950SDX or a Yaesu FT-1000MP,
in an effort to upgrade my current contest station from a TS-940S. I
have had the pleasure of playing with an MP for a few days, but I don't
know anyone who actually has the SDX. In particular, the audio response
of the MP was spectacular compared to my '940. I wonder how the 950SDX
stacks up?

I'm sure there are SDX owners here, and I would appreciate your
opinion/comparison to the others.

Thanks in advance.

I must be dense. I just noticed that there is no low power or QRP
classes for single band entries. Wonder why? Not that contests are fair
but, this sure gives and advantage to someone who travels to a well setup
station say in the Carribean.

I think all contests should have a low power catagory in all catagories.

First, I want to say that I never asked for ANY money to help out with LU6Z
confirmation. The "extra $" mentioned there is ULI's idea (and will be
returned to him, together with the QSL request... Sri ULI). My message with
the help offer follows:

As you can see, there's no mention to any fee to help...

Besides, I don't consider myself a "tricky LU" as the the GACW says in the
anwer to Uli.

>Please don mix us with some other LUs making tricky things..our Box in
Wilde is
>OK for everythings.

So, I sadly must ask you, please don't try to get my help with LU6Z QSL
anymore, because I don't want to deal any more with the "professional group
of people" they claim to be.

Good luck... You're going to need it.

Tom,
The ARRL's bulletin said "ARRL members." Is the ARRL going to
screen the suggestions, comments, etc., for members vs. non-members?
