                  N.E.R.D.S. Return for Field Day!

On the weekend of June 28-29, radio amateurs across North America
once again celebrate Field Day, far and away their most popular
activity of the year. This is an emergency preparedness exercise, contest,
picnic, campout, public relations and endurance event rolled into one.

The N.E.R.D.S. will be participating in Field Day from Iron Hill Park in
Newark, Delaware. They are an officially organized and affiliated club
devoted to contesting and fun. They will be using their new call sign,
W3TT, for the first time on Field Day. In each of two previous outings,
they captured both trophies awarded to the top Delaware entry, and placed
in the topfive nationwide in their entry class.

Iron Hill is located off Route 896 and Interstate 94 near the
Delaware-Maryland border. Exit I-95 at 896 South (the last exit before
Maryland), go about a half mile to the first light, Old Baltimore Pike.
Make a right at the light, go another half mile or so, passing the Iron
Hill Museum on the right. Go right at Whitaker Road just past the museum,
and up the hill. Turn into the park at the sign on the right and go to the
end of the drive. The Field Day setup will be around the pavilion to the
right.

The public is welcome and urged to join the fun, and see why "ham " radio
can be so addictive.
