[CQ-Contest] What was going on Sunday AM?

Sunday morning about 11 AM EDT, I tuned through 20 CW and it was FULL of U,
R and other dx, including KH6, working a contest not listed in May QST.  

Were these freak condx or are happy days here again?  And what was the
contest?  I've got to get with the program.
