Boys, things are bad. You haven't heard QRM unless you've listened to 
Forty in Europe during CQWW. The 60kHz Region 1 'recommendation' is 
hopeless - 1,000 stations trying to squeeze into a space comfortable 
only for 40. Never mind quarts into pint pots, this is squeezing a double 
jeroboam into an egg cup.

I heard people working on 7.009MHz - maybe next year some will be on 
6.8MHz! As for 'deaf' big guns, the QRM is so bad I suspect many were 
running second TX antennas fixed on Europe just to keep their 
frequency clear. We (GM7V) didn't do this, but there were times I 
wish we had.

The only way things will get better is when we ALL have the full 
300kHz (well, 260 + 40kHz CW - no flames) to play in. So please, 
write to your national society, your MP, your congressman, the Pope, 
or Rikki Lake, and let's see if we can't get a world-wide secondary 
allocation above 7.1MHz.
