[CQ-Contest] re: INNOVATIVE IDEA??

OK,  for my 4c worth:

1.  I like Thanksgiving weekend for CQWW CW.  It gives me an unfair advantage
over non-US hams by allowing me to be home on Friday instead of having to be
at work. This is significant since the contest starts Fri afternoon local time
here. Unfortunately, the only opening I have at 0000Z is to Iowa.

2.  For scoring, I like the idea of fewer 0 pointers (for whatever reason).
However, to pull from a prior debate, this is a DX contest, not a prefix
contest. Therefore, I don't support any scoring changes.  That said, I should
note that I havn't participated in CQWW for several years now since the last
solar cycle went into the toilet. Why? Because from W6 land, I can't make a
lot of DX Qs.  Maybe in a couple of years that'll change.  In the mean time SS
is a lot more fun.
