[CQ-Contest] contesting

I have been reading the stuff about dupes so now putting my two bobs worth
in...........
When I first got on air ,there was a contest on.....well I had no idea what
a contest was....All I got from some guys was.....What is my report,what is
my number   ?
          Very confusing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
                                                                  When I
knew what contesting was I gave it a go.....one of my first
was.........cqwpx........................
                                                                  I needed
prefixes ,,,,OKAY  !!!!!!!!!!!???????????
                                                   I would hear a station
call out CQ Contest....I would go back to them,,,,,and nearly always got
back from them to me..............""""    I have already worked that
Prefix..."  so I was virtually told to go fly a kite....

                    For you top guns out there..........Remember ,if
operators keep on getting "...we do not need your call......" you will lose
contesters especially new comers as why should operators waste time on the
air and not get QSO..s
                         So please ,,accept the dupes as paople do need
contacts for DXCC,,WAS WAZones etc............     In other words ,give us
a break....You may already have all those certificates,we
don't...........You may have heaps of frequencies,,,,,,,not everyone
has.......you may have great aerials.........we may not..........you may
have heaps of power....not everone has..........
                                   I had to use a portion of 10 mx
28. 100...........28.600      and 21.124   to 21.200     @ 30
watts.......and due to living in the city ,,many restrictions on aerials
and heights...towers etc........................Remember one thing
please.........If not many people compete in contests,,,,,,,,HOW DO YOU GET
YOUR POINTS UP IN THE
CONTESTS.......................................................Catch you
