I agree that the current error rate is intolerable, but don't think that
e-mail is to blame. If anything, e-mailing logs should make it easier and
cheaper to maintain a backup copy, stashed somewhere safe, as a hedge
against logs getting lost in the checking process. What really needs to be
done is establishment of proper controls .... imagine what would happen if
banks had an error rate like the Contest Branch's. This can be done!
