[CQ-Contest] A few words...

Greetings fellow Contesters,

Life presents each of us with many choices--both in our personal lives
and in our professional lives.
Recently, I've made the decision to accept a position outside of the ARRL,
and my 5-year-plus association with the American Radio Relay League will end
at the close of the business day on March 19, 1998. I have enjoyed my
association with the League and leave a richer person for the experience.

I'm not going far from here in Newington--just down the road to West
Hartford (CT) Public Schools, where I'll be employed as a "Technology
Support Specialist," assisting teachers (and students) with the
implementation of technology in the classroom. (PCs, software, operating
systems, and, for me, the opportunity of learning more about computer
networking as well.) I look forward to the challenges ahead.

Hopefully, I'll be able to manage to work some ham radio into the
school(s) too! :-)

I leave wishing the ARRL success in it's future endeavors and trust
that our national society will continue its long-standing tradition ("since
1914") of serving its members and society in general "by protecting and
enhancing spectrum access and providing a national resource to the public."
For my part, I intend to continue supporting the League by maintaining my
status as a loyal Member.

As a long-time ham, it has been an honor to serve on behalf of "the cause"
we love: Amateur Radio.

Vry sincere 73,
