     Sounds like a good reason for upgrading and getting a shorter call.
That's what ALL those other folks did. 

    And please ALWAYS give your full call. It makes it easier for the station
being called and sets you apart from all the "last 2 letters" fodder.
Competitive contesters give their full calls.
