[CQ-Contest] 1998 RTTY High Speed Sprint

Attention RTTY enthusiasts...

Here's a quick reminder of the 4-hour High Speed Sprint ready to
run in a few days (Sunday).  Grease those 100 wpm gears up and get
ready for this years event!  Review last years participant scores
at the end of this message and set your goal for 1998.


 *** Official announcement of the 1998 High Speed RTTY Sprint ***
    (Remember, this is only an exhibition, please no wagering!)

   0)  Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of high speed rtty.

   1)     Date: Sunday, March 15, 1998.

   2)     Time: 18:00 - 22:00 UTC, no rest periods.

   3)    Bands: 10, 15, 20, 40, and 80 meter rtty segments.

   4)     Mode: Baudot only.

   5)    Speed: 74.2 baud, which is the same as 100 wpm.

   6)    Power: Full authorized power will be tolerated.

   7)  Calling: CQ HSS  or  TEST

   8) Exchange: RST + sequential serial number.

   9)  Scoring: SARTG RTTY contest rules.   (Band multipliers and conti-
                nental QSO points encourage DX qso's and band changes to
                work 'em again!)  Review the full rules at:

  10)     Logs: Post your summary sheet to the internet WF1B reflector.

  11)   Awards: Reflector accolades from your rtty peers and one "attaboy"
                to the top score in each class.
