[CQ-Contest] SS SOA

Hey Guys, I think all the criticism is errant. If you don't want to be SOA, then don't operate
SOA. That seems pretty simple. Packet is a tool. In SS, it probably won't help your rate,
and will be used by those who want to ensure the sweep. Those who criticize this
accomplishment should not be to quick to pat themselves on the back for high multiplier
totals in DX contests either. The same argument could be made for memory keyers,
computer logging etc.

One concern about the possibility of new Precedence indicator. - If I decide in the
eleventh hour to turn on the packet to find the missing VE8, and change my prec, I may
hose up the log checkers. Some thought should be given to this potential problem.

P.S. I use packet in WPX!! I look at it in those particularly slow hours to nail mults quickly
and maximize my score for my contest club aggregate. I am not interested in winning, as
I am not that good an operator. SOA in WPX is a small class, and it's easy to place
highly in that class because of lower entries. Different stroke for different folks. No Problem.
