Some Quacks
I have enough trouble copying the info as it is currently sent, What good
is all this error correction stuff supposed to mean ?  If it ain't broke 
don't fix it is probably good enuf.

Yeah, but how long would a CRC period have to be to handle names like
"Rumplestiltskin"?

Why use error detection, anyway?  It would not be that difficult to use
Forward Error Correction (FEC) coding and just be done with it.
