Hmm....

I think it matters what the check is... The original intent - I believe - 
was to allow you to know how long someone had been licensed. I think that 
is still a meaningful thing.

Let's not get so carried away with the details of how to log and score 
contests that we lose touch with history here folks.

Maybe my 40 years (check = 59) have caused me to lose touch with the "new 
age" of the hobby, but let's not lose sight of where we've been...
