Hello All
First I would like it to be known that if you worked K5RT in the NAQP that
wasn't Paul you worked. The LID at the controls was me.
This was my first time working anyone's station other than my own and K5RT
has a very nice station. Although the station is very well setup and easy to
use it was more than this inexperienced op could handle.
I learned 2 things real quick first I can't handle 2 rigs at once and second
I can't run on a frequency. I had to simplify the station so I didn't get so
confused. Stopped using the second rig stopped using the voice keyer and
stopped trying to run as a result the score was lower than it should have
been using a station as good as this. I never had to make a call more than
twice and most of the time I got though on the first call.
The only problems (other than the op hihi) was there was line noise at the
station that wiped out 10 meters only made one contact on 10 and the noise
on 160 was so bad I could hear anything the other bands were very good
although the line noise affected 15 some but it wasn't that bad.
The other thing I messed up was trying to move mullts I simply forgot to ask
them to move which is other thing to hurt my score I also am ashamed to have
such a lousy score associated with such a fine station as K5RT.
It was an experience that I am glad I had and I would do it again but I
still have a lot to learn and skills to polish up on. Thanks to all that put
up with my lousy skills.

P.S. Paul though a good goal was 500 Q's but we soon figured out this wasn't
going to happen so lowered the goal to 300 Q' then 200 Q's I ended up with
197 Q's although it is more than I ever made in a 10 hours in a contest it
is still not as good as the station with a good op is capable of
