But, Doug, the world of pre-contest warmup is a vastly different place than
the actual contest.  Once the contest starts stations can become lost and
never heard from again.

In the NA Sprint, we in TDXS can compare logs and it's like each of us was
in a different contest because our logs are so different...and that's just a
4-hour contest.

I worked 850+ people on CW during the ARRL-10 contest.  Dinkelman's Rumors
listing says W4ZV worked 2300+.  There were at least 1400 other people in
the contest at one time or another that I missed and didn't work!!!  And I
was listening hard and often.
