If that is the best freq you can find so as to do your contesting on 
the band you want to be on, and in the mode you want to be in, go for it.
Forget the QRL business.
KR2Q is not in a QSO.
He is also calling CQ,inviting contacts, just as you desire to do.
I don't think there is any need to do a zero beat to poor old QRP KR2Q.
