[CQ-Contest] SO2R - No new category

My vote is NO new category for SO2R.

My reasoning in general:
Category proliferation is already out of
hand. How many categories can we stand before the contest is
ultimately cheapened? I don't want a plaque if there are so many
categories that there is essentially little or no competition.

My reasoning in particular:
Unlike packet, T/S and some of the other
"handicapped" categories, 2 radio operation is a SKILL, and should be
rewarded as such. If a person masters 2 (or more) radio operation,
they deserve to outscore their competition! Sure, it takes more
hardware and work and there's not a 100% increase in performance - so
what? It takes more hardware and work to have stacked antennas than to
have a dipole. Should the person who goes the extra mile be penalized
(or "ghettoized" by more categories)?

I admire the guys who can do 2 radio well. This is the type of skills
we should encourage, not discourage. After all, why should I even try
2 radio when 1 radio is much easier?

73,

Will
