[CQ-Contest] Single-Op - Stop the Rot.

Perhaps its a good thing that this contesting-sport of ours is one of the
very few sports in the world where the winner doesn't get paid or sponsored,
and at the end of the day, the only thing anyone gets for taking all that
time, effort and cash to set up a station is a certificate and a bit of
kudos. If some guys want to spend thousands of $ just for this, then good
luck to them, because as there's next to nothing to 'actually gain' then
there's little point in going overboard for what is, in effect, just a great
game of chess on the airwaves, and long may it continue to be so. The point
I'm getting to is that because there's nothing to gain besides kudos, anyone
who cheats by using clusters for a single op station is hurting no one but
himself, and that if he wants to brag about his achievements whilst knowing
in his heart that they are worthless because he gained them dishonestly,
then his conscience will, in the long run, get the better of him, and every
congratulation that he gets will be a secret stab in the heart.
Contesting can NEVER be an equal sport, because of location for one thing,
and bucks for another; suggesting that I as an unemployed guy, might copy
NK7U's 80m 3el at 180' is like suggesting I go dxpeditioning to the moon.
I'm not even ALLOWED to run the kind of power you guys can. Therefore, in
order to have a sport that includes all types, and make all types feel that
it is worthwhile participating, there has to be lots of different classes
and there is bound to be a certain amount of cheating. But at the end of
the day, if we can say to ourselves "I did a good job, did it honestly, and
enjoyed the experience" then I think that's quite enough for any normal
human being, and the feeling we have inside knowing that, is worth 1000
dishonestly obtained certificates.
If you want to cheat, go right ahead - that's fine with me, but please
don't lets clutter everybody's lives with lots of rules that are bound to
have loopholes in them.

.........Here, we can find out those ops who claimed unassisted but in the
contest
were using packet...
We just have to look at how fast he worked the spotted stations over the
weekend.

But what if the entrant just took advantage of some 10 mults over the
weekend, taking care on how fast he worked the spots?

Kind of hard to find out.........
