....there are opportunities in life that sometimes steer us to distant
neighborhoods on key weekends...opportunities to make lemonade out of lemons
can be had if you can operate from someone else's station and not lose the
opportunity to support your club.
Sometimes this is a form of reward for the operator who has proven himself,
to be extended an invite to a major station - should he be penalized and
have to chose - do I want hard feelings from my fellow club members or do I
seize this opportunity to use 4 over 4 on 80?
My allowing an operator at a multi-op out of town to have his chunk of the
score contributed to his club the either or situation does NOT have to
exist. I think this is good. The current dividing the number of operators
into the score and that big a slice method is the only way this can be
done - yes, some guys contribute more points to any given operation than
others but trying to ascertain that contribution is way way way too
difficult an algorerhythm....:-)
It is a world class ranking that the station owner seeks, and if importing
talent from afar ensures his standing - great...of course his local club can
combat the draining off of points by ensuring they develop as much world
class talent at home as possible!
Perhaps we need to hand count those QSOs made by those particular operators
but let CT score the balance of the log...ooops, sorry I was having a Palm
Beach moment...
