And wasn't it fun to have to really listen in order to get that callsign?
And wasn't it fun to tune the bands up/down and look for that next QSO?
I enjoyed the dickens out of it, and it surely brought to mind the good
old days of bells, gongs, and back slaps when that new one was found in
the old multi-op operations of days gone by.
I just loved listening way down into the depths of the ether to try and
get that puny weak signal callsign out there.
It made me feel as though my ears and operating ability meant something
again.
