Simple.
Turn the VHF packet clusters off for the duration of the contest,
on the Internet pages like Kolumbus.com stop taking spots and display a
message:
"Welcome to the contest weekend friend. This is the time when everybody
enjoys good hunting and working DX on their own without being spoon fed. Go
on and have a fun with the rest of the world. Spotting service will be back
after the contest. Have a fruitful and enjoyable hunting!" (And don't
cheat!!!)
Logging software would also work more reliably with all that spotting stuff.
We should learn from the situation in DX community, nets and lists destroyed
the fun and meaning of DXing and DXCC. It's like shooting the animals in the
ZOO, some fun!
Lets wake up and preserve the sanity, sportsmanship and fun in contesting,
before it is too late.
