Shoot....  I'm lucky if I can simply get the computer running and keep it
running for the entire contest.  More power to anyone who wants to mess
around with all that extra stuff on top of the regular contesting trials 
just so everyone can see their smiling mug.  I don't see how I'm going to
figure out where that .com contester is transmitting unless he/she has
their run freq written on their forehead with a sharpie.  I say have a go
and provide the world (and themselves) with a little extra fun. 
Contesting still is fun....right?

I guess where I am going with this is that:

Heah, this is indeed a great form of advertising but there is no way to
limit its use in aiding in the solicitation of contacts and it is indeed a
method other than radio....if this is ok then do we let telephone calls by
wealthy hams who work for telephone companies back into the mix?

I love the idea of publicizing contesting, I LOVE CONTESTING! My greatest
fear is its demise...contest PR is wonderful...but, lets not undermine well
thought out and developed rules designed to try to normalize competition.
